Navigating Life's Waves: Anchored in Prayer

Reiki

Your first question might be, What Is Reiki?

Reiki therapy is based on an Eastern belief that vital energy flows through your body. The idea is that a person who specializes in reiki treatment, referred to as a reiki master, uses gentle touch – or places their hands just above your body – to help guide this energy in a way that leads to balance and healing.

I had two Reiki treatments and was amazed by how calming and gentle it was. I noticed being peaceful at a time when I was undergoing life stresses. Recently, I became interested in taking Reiki courses. I am now a certified Practitioner and teacher of Reiki Levels 1, 2, 3 & Master Level. (Showing Certificate for Master Level). I profoundly grateful to my Master teachers Lisa Powers and Sufani Garza.

Currently, I practice Reiki on myself and offer it to family members. I invite you to try a Reiki therapy with me. Beginning September, appointments will be available on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays.

I am a member of International Riiki Organization (IRO), Please view my information: https://reikiassociation.com/business-directory/circle-community/

Recently, I joined the Reiki Association, https://www.reiki.org

I am supported by my Master Teachers and both organizations.

Maybe you’ve heard of Reiki but aren’t sure it’s right for you. Maybe you’re considering Reiki but aren’t sure what it’s all about. My curiosity lead me to a Master Reiki Practitioner. Your doctor or someone who had Reiki and is suggesting you try this form of therapy alongside your other medical treatments. And that is all good.

If you are interested, here is a little of the history I learned taking the course on Reiki Healing.

History of Reiki:

The reiki healing system, founded by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s, said that people should practice certain standards or values that bring about peace and harmony – ideals that most cultures practice. It was brought to the Western part of the world by Hawayo Hiromi Takata and become popular in the U.S. quickly.

The term comes from two Japanese words: “rei,” which means universal, and “ki,” which loosely translates to a flow of a lifeforce of energy that happens in all living things.

If you are wondering if Reiki a religion? Be assured it is not!

However, as a Reiki Practitioner, I abide by certain principles of integrity. You may wish to learn more about Reiki because there is so much to understand. Here is a website that may offer you up to date information: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/reiki

If you feel ready to give Reiki a try, contact me. I offer Reiki beginning in August 2024.
