Winter Check-in
Cold winter days snow, rain and sleet often keep us indoors. It is good time to check in with yourself. “How am I doing?”, “Am I keeping with my resolutions?”, “Are there activities I need to do now?”

Here in GA, we’ve had two snowfalls in the past weeks.

Rainy, cold wind-swept days are upon us. One of those days gave me perfect opportunity to live my resolutions on my Vision Board

and venture into a new project. I was home all day. I stayed close to the heater, and worked on creating a You Tube channel. I had time to journal and enjoy the beauty of the snow-covered lawn. Those snow days were wonderful for stirring my creative juices. I am staying with my resolutions and feeling more confident about creating content on my You Tube channel.

I am very new to videoing myself though, I have been teaching and leading meditations for the past 5 years. Each time I create a new post; I am a little better. So far, I have created eight mindfulness focused meditations. Now in February, I continue creating content in my You Tube channel. I am focusing on mindfulness meditation. Meditation is all about being mindful, staying in the moment, being aware of all your senses. Strange as it may sound, winter walks wake up my senses more than the walks in all the other seasons. Preparing to walk in the cold windy day takes mindfulness. Once outside, noticing the wind sweeping across my face, sensing the bright sunlight and spacious blue sky. The trees are naked, the wind blows through the branches creating an eerie whistling sound, suddenly, I noticed a clump of daffodils drooping from the hard freeze the night before. It was a joyful sight. Surely spring is on its way.
