Watching the summer season roll into autums delights my senses as I walk in my neighborhood and in nearby parks. Leaves fall and surrender to gravity as they dnace their way to the welcoming earth.
I am mesmerized watching the leaves floating on breezes. On cool days I love wearing cozy sweaters.
I love everything about pumpkins, the variety of colors and shapes, of course the cookies, pies, sweet breads, soups and especially pumpkin spice tea. I love reading poems about autumn. The picture above shows off the beauty and delights of autumn. Dreary cold days are interrupted by glorious sunny days when trees and bushes are dressed in riotous colors, then, after a walk, there is the cozy place to rest and surrender to what is. Perfect moments of mindfulness for body and soul.
Fall, Leaves, Fall’ by Emily Brontë poem hints of meloncholy but offers delights of autumn.
Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;
Lengthen night and shorten day;
Every leaf speaks bliss to me
Fluttering from the autumn tree.
I shall smile when wreaths of snow
Blossom where the rose should grow;
I shall sing when night’s decay
Ushers in a drearier day.
